And made me feel like the Queen I am.
He first asked me about my locs and how long I have been growing them. He said he used to have them but had to cut them because he knew he would go bald soon. He didn’t look a day over 30. Then he saw the tattoo on my wrist( my west African dwennimmen), and asked me if I knew it was an African symbol. I smiled and said that’s why I got it. He smiled and shook his head in disbelief. Then I told him I even had a Africa on my back; his smile got wider.
I’m not even sure why, but he made my day in less than 5min. The way he looked in my eyes and smiled at me with nothing but happiness on his face.
He really made me feel like the many queens of Africa.
I’ll never forget him.

I look in my bag before I drive off(very important to do at fast food restaurants), and my fry container barely has any fries. So I hand them back to the guy and I get a full container-happy.
THEN I’m digging in one of my bags (yes there was more than one, three actually; don’t judge me) and I see a chili container (ONE of the few things I didn’t order).
I didn’t turn around, I just continued on home. Just assumed it to be a blessing. GOD is good.
